THE PASSENGER CAR: SIXTH HOUR

Hour six has begun, and still no sign of those notes that your tape-recording friend from the past, Bianca Summers, has sworn to have left behind. With two hours left, connections have started to pop up in this ten-year-old narrative, but it's hard not to be stressed when your lives are on the line. And of course, there's those items that have been going missing. Time to really put your heads together...if you can all trust each other.
This will be your catchall mingle for any thread taking place in the Passenger Car during the sixth hour, where all your evidence has been found and it's time to put your heads together to solve this mystery once and for all! This is the only mingle based on time as well as location; no hour-based toplevel markings are necessary.
As always, feel free to contact me on plurk or discord with any questions you have!

All right, everyone. [She's not bothering to stay in one place as she talks - she's searching under ever seat, rooting around through the overhead luggage storage, feeling along each of the chairs for any rips or tears, feeling around under the table, and even, at one point, squinting at the bright lights to see if there's anything hidden behind the glass.] We've found quite a bit so far, haven't we?
I suppose the first thing to do would be lay out what we have so far, so we can figure out what, if anything, we're missing.

I think 13 was Madame Silver. We know 13 was rich, and one note pretty much said they ended up dying and the writer didn't care—and I found another note by the same writer that mentions stealing her inheritance.
... Oh, and that she tried to shoot the writer?
[showing the note in question... it's the same handwriting as all the bullet point notes.]

I have one item everyone should see. I believe we may find the part we need for it somewhere during our search, if we're not already in possession of it. But first, the notes we found.
[ Which he'll present in order of discovery: the first, the second (actually a police report), and the third.
He'll also present the teddy bear they found. It's heavy, full of machinery, with closed eyes that can be forced open, though the bear makes mechanical clicking sounds when this is tried. There's a velcro strap in the back which has been pulled open, bearing the machinery within. While there's no switch to turn it on, there is a hole where it looks like something could be inserted and cranked, right in the center of the back. ]
... I'd also like to make a guess based on some of the evidence gathered during the hour prior. The can of turpentine belongs to Keiko-san, passenger 08. Keiko-san also happened to be the person who gave to us a photograph of a woman who appeared to be an artist. A note on that photo said something about "helping Henrietta." I believe the woman in that photo may be Henrietta - and passenger 08. After all, an artist would be most likely to have a can of turpentine, and passenger 08's note also made reference to living on a "starving income." Something a struggling artist receiving scathing reviews from the newspapers would likely be stuck with.

I wonder if 06 had anything to do with the teddy bear-- they're the one who had all the schematics and stuff, I think.
[A theory, not solid evidence.]
I think you're right about Henrietta, though.

Recall that in the photo of Henrietta, there was a black man in the background, though we did not see his face. Henrietta was being "helped" in that photo, and we know from the magazine article that a gallery was opened. Additionally, Elliot and I found a note in the sleeper car that said Perry was trapped in a gallery. That man was helping Henrietta set up her public art gallery. And it was that gallery that burned, taking Perry's life.
I believe the black man from the photo was perhaps falsely accused, or even convicted, of setting the fire.

Ozaki, Kate and I were checking the lounge and we found a couple things. This one was inside a bottle, along with this ring. [He shows the wedding band and a note]. This was Pullman's wife, by the way.
Ozaki also found this one: [He gestures Ozaki to show his note: “The way I see it, so many of us here were secretly (or even not so secretly, looking at you Dragon) involved in something shady, so wouldn’t it just figure that whoever put us here is someone super innocuous? Maybe that kind of thing only works in the movies, though. Well, looks like I have a visitor so I’ll whittle it down more later. Seriously, what part of “I need to think alone for awhile” does nobody understand? “

Each time, however, she comes up empty.
Finally, frustrated, she grabs her briefcase and starts rooting around in it - and then lets out a soft noise of surprise as her fingertips catch under the bottom of the briefcase, and she's able to lift it away.]
...a false bottom?
[She sets it aside, and picks up something from inside of it.
It's a piece of paper, and just from a glance, it seems to have quite a bit of writing on it.]

NAME: NEIL PULLMAN
DESIGNATION: 09
OCCUPATION: CLUB OWNER (COVER), CONMAN
AGE: 29
Huge criminal record. You name it, he’s probably done it. Built like a bouncer with a tongue like acid, he’s known around town as “The Smoking Dragon” on account of his demeanor and size (and he always smells like cigarettes). Everything appealing about him as far as I can tell is just inspired by the fear people have of him. Young but accomplished, if you can call having built an up and coming criminal organization an accomplishment. It’s a choice of word I use reluctantly.
The kind of father who hits mom in front of his kid and his kid in front of his mom and gives his son a lighter for a birthday gift. Has to have gotten dirt on some cops, because for the amount of arrests he’s had, he always ends up walking free. Seems to have a new woman on his arm every other month or so, but currently he’s been found with Rowena Silver hanging off of his arm, and she’s stuck around longer than any of the others I’ve looked into. There’s definitely something nasty going on with that duo, and I don’t think it’s of an intimate kind.
I think he was looking for an excuse get an obstacle out of his way, and that’s how we ended up with a bogus police report. My running theory is that everyone else just happened to be the eggs that got scrambled while they happened to be in the way, shells and all. Henrietta, the Perry kids, all of them. I was convinced that he knew I was getting close, so he rounded up every loose end along with me to wipe us out in a single punch. If only one person can make it off alive as a condition, he wanted to make sure that was him. Then suddenly he’s the victim of a tragedy and nobody has any right to talk about him like a criminal.
I was wrong. He didn’t bring us here. I just don’t know who did. But as for the rest of it, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m onto something.

He pulls out a piece of paper and reads it to himself, and it's a bit hard to tell if the sickened frown on his face is from what he's reading or that headache he's been talking about. Or maybe both.]

Dining Car 1
I don’t have anything against the little scamp, but I swear to god if they make me babysit him now like I don’t have my own problems to worry about. Like, hello? Three fucking parents and not a one of them can get their head out of the marital-crisis sand.
Observation Car 2
Three hits in one room? As long as they don’t see what’s on me, it’s not like they’ll ever find out. I’m more worried about the pig, but he seems like a damn sucker, anyway.
Lounge Car 8
The way I see it, so many of us here were secretly (or even not so secretly, looking at you Dragon) involved in something shady, so wouldn’t it just figure that whoever put us here is someone super innocuous? Maybe that kind of thing only works in the movies, though. Well, looks like I have a visitor so I’ll whittle it down more later. pick a name, any name
Anyway.]
We've figured out that Kate is responsible for bringing us here this time around, which is all well and good, but we still have a task to complete: determine the name of the original mastermind and enter it into the keypad. I've explained to Kate why I believe Malorie Brooks is a likely suspect, but I'm only one person. Since getting this wrong or right may very well determine whether or not we make it off this train safely, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on what name we ought to be putting in.
So? What do you all think?

A TIMELINE, AMONG OTHER THINGS
...so, I've been paying attention. And I've been here with Akechi sorting evidence, so I've looked through all this as much as the rest of you and I gotta say, there's some things that haven't been mentioned that are kind of...
[She looks at Kate for a second.]
Buckwild.
[Hazel cracks a grin, but then controls herself.]
Okay, first off. At least one note explicitly states that there was a gun on board. Ezra Kramer makes it sound like he stole something from someone else, I'm guessing a briefcase item. The Doctor was in Pullman's back pocket along with Bertrand--maybe that's what he was hiding, when he said he was glad that his dirty little secret didn't get put on blast.
[She twirls a finger in her hair.]
We've spent a lot of time talking about theories, which is good and important, but...have we even tried to make sense of what happened on this train last time or when? We know that Caroline died first (and Ezra knows who killed her), that someone else died accidentally, and that a few of the passengers were around to write notes talking about the murders of the rest of them, and someone else got hurt so badly they begged for the mercy of death. I bet if we put these things in some kind of order, figure out who did what and maybe why...I dunno, it kind of narrows down who the sleeper agent was, right?

EVIDENCE ROUND-UP
Okay, you know what? Here. I'll give you a hand. Gimme the notes.
[She rounds up all the evidence that's been gathered over the past few hours, going through them one by one and sorting them into piles.]
Tape one is the recording I woke up to on my first go. Our first mastermind. The one you're looking for.
Tape two? That's me.
Obviously all the briefcase notes correspond to y'all's roles in this. That was the work of the first mastermind. And the newspaper clippings? All real, too. The only thing you're missing there, really...
[She holds up one of the articles and reads from it:]
"This whole business just goes to show this town's priorities. Justice shouldn't see color, but it seems that people here believe that 'innocent until proven guilty' is only a privilege meant for white folk." That was me in that paper.
Tape three is Bianca interviewing Michael, though I think y'all figured that one out already. Obviously tape four is Bianca talking to herself, and I already cleared up the voices on tape five.
[Finally, she finishes sorting everything, and stands back for everyone to look at all the evidence, sorted nice and neatly into who wrote what.]
I'll take questions if you've got 'em. But remember: Just because you ask don't mean I have to answer.

THEORY BABY
No, listen. She was friends with Sam, and Sam was falsely accused. He was imprisoned and put into jail, and Henrietta was acquitted of arson, because, white. She has connections to Simon, who funded her gallary. To Rowena, who tore her down and bankrupted her after she'd made it after starving all throughout high school. Bianca was pulled in because she was the one who wanted to look into the case, but was shut out.
Meanwhile: Caroline is dealing drugs to Erza and two others. Arthur is supplying them, and Neil is the head of that organization. Bertrand's a dirty cop, but he didn't know Caroline was involved in that organization. Krista and Rowena are sleeping with Neil, and I bet that pissed Henrietta off. But there's another connection: Bertrand followed the Henrietta and Sam lead, despite knowing better.
She used Malorie, because Malorie knew how to build things like this, and would have motive to help her a bit if she found out what was up, because her sister died in the fire too. Right? But she tricked her-- I think Malorie somehow thought this was a part of a thesis or something.
Simon knew. Simon knew from the start why Henrietta was doing all this, and he kept silent, and now he's regretting it.
