THE PASSENGER CAR

All around you is the sound of squeaking, desperately pushing metal. It's like the whole world has forced itself forward, leaving you in a state of drug-induced vertigo. Before long, the seats will become familiar to you, but for now the fluorescent lights are blinding.
Welcome to the start of A Bullet in the Dark, everyone! This will be your catchall mingle for any thread taking place in the Passenger Car. Because of the short run of the game, instead of individual mingles being posted for different times or events, there will instead be mingles posted by location. Please note the ic hour in which your thread takes place in your header, and make sure you don't have your character in two places at once (once new locations become available).
For now, this mingle will serve as your intro log, but you'll likely find yourselves coming back around to it for other purposes in the future. As always, feel free to contact me on plurk or discord with any questions you have!

Graciously accepting the key, Izumi frees himself and rubs his wrist afterward.]
All right! I can't believe it was there, of all places.
[He picks up the briefcase sitting on his lap.]
Should we start on these now?

Seems like the thing to do, don't it?
[Kate picks up her briefcase again too, testing the dials on the code... Hm.]
We're in row 14. There's another number for you.

[And then Yoneya approaches, eventually culminating in the opening of his briefcase!]

Well, that was easy. Whoever put all this together must not have much faith in our puzzle-solving abilities.
[Kate you literally cheated shut up.]

Once Izumi's shaken Yoneya off, he turns back to Kate. She's much easier on the eyes, even though she's older.]
Maybe it's a test. If we can solve this much, we should be able to handle whatever comes next.

You think so? You must've never heard of a tutorial. I expect it'll just get trickier from here on out.

[She shrugs.]
In any case, we ought to get started.

[Since he's in the seat toward the middle, he gets up and out to give Kate the leg room to leave her own seat. Is he going to roam around? Maybe. But he's definitely sitting back down before long.
Work hard, Miss Kate!]
